I have been a licensed nail technician in the state of North Carolina for ten years. Graduated from Cape Fear Community College in North Carolina I started working, built a client base and fell in love with my career! Everything from classic manicures and pedicures to spa deluxe with reflexology techniques, aromatherapy, paraffin treatments, pink and white acrylics, sculpture, tips, make up applications, and creative art. I was an employee of a large resort spa and was lead in my department for sales. I also have experienced operating a small salon with my mother and grandmother for five years. I hold certifications as a NC Nail Technician, Tanning Bed Operator, Osha Blood Born Pathogens, Permanent make-up, Advanced Permanent Make-up and Paramedical Micropigmentation. I am currently enrolling into Spa Hospitality courses and last year, began teaching continuing education for North Carolina's Cosmetic Art's industry. Early in my life I decided to become a cosmetic tattoo artist, after my very beautiful grandmother had her eyebrows tattood when I was just a child. Schooling by the best of the best is costly, but I kept my goal and enrolled and graduated from Arty Joe's Advanced School of Permanent Make-Up. John Hashey, my instructor and owner of the state licensed school, is a lead pioneer in the industry and an incredible tattoo artist. I have been trained by the most elite educator and worked very hard to achieve my certificates. Coil machine techniques offer the best result and most enduring pigmentation. To further my education in micropigmentation I returned to receive my advanced certificates in areola restoration and scar camouflage.
In some cases people still consider this practice as taboo, to prove this untrue, I have petitioned for the importance of cosmetic tattoing also for paramedical purposes to town council. A portion of all costs and business expenses from More Thank You Ink are donated to breast cancer research and awareness. Cancer survivors, burn victims, and clients with facial abnormalities have changed my life and they tell me I have changed their's through cosmetic tattoo. I am honored to give clients a small sense of "normalcy" in the routine of everyday life. Proud to announce the opening of More Than You Ink at Imagine That! Studio
